I've tried to replicate this scent many times using natural essences. I think its facination is the powdery vanilla accords that I have smelled in various perfumes. So finally, and by quite by accident, I stumbled onto a good 'baby powder note'. I call it a violet note because a friend told me it smells of violets. Its been a long time since I've smelled violets...so I don't know, but shes convinced. I'm posting this blend but first I have to explain that when I finish off a bottle of rose or jasmin abs, or vanilla...anything precious, I fill it with alcohol. I then label it: Residue in Alcohol. I don't know extact % of dilution but I don't want to waste the residue. So...the following is slightly problematic but you can work with it. " n Violet " (in drops) 2 Bergamot 2 Orris abs 2.5 ml Vanilla CO2 (residue in alcohol) 5 Tonka abs (in alcohol, unkown dilution) 2 Benzoin abs 5 Jasmin grandiflorum abs (residue in alc) 5 Rose, bulgarian abs (residue in alc) If anyone has tinctures of vanilla and tonka bean, they will probably work like my 'crazy unknown dilutions'. As for the rose and jasmin, just go easy. Just a trace of each. The blend shouldn't smell rosey. One option is to dip the tip of a toothpick into the pure oils and add it the the blend. This is a clumsy and haphazard experiment on my part, but I think if you play with the ingredients you will find 'the note' or something better. Sure smells good though, very soft, lightly floral.
