Guest guest
From: Anya <mccoy@...> Subject: " Orchid Oil " as a carrier and fixative? I read on a perfume site that a line uses " orchid oil " (instead of alcohol) as a carrier/diluent, and that the qualities of the oil include a " mucilage " aspect that helps preserve (fix) the perfume to the skin and also softens the skin. I have a Journal Research article in my archives that mentions several types of orchids that produce an oil that is not an essential oil but a fixed oil in ducts or glands in the orchid. I have been unable to find the original article (which I had about 5 years ago) - will look some more and in the meantime maybe someone else can update the information. but this is probably to what you are referring. Guest guest
Donna has an orchid flower body oil recipe. It may or may not be similar but the recipe can be found by doing a Google search.
