I think Sea Buckthorn CO2 smells like cherries, so that is another idea. Ho wood? I just got up, so I'm still trying to find my coffee grinder. If I think of more, I'll let you know. Roses, camellias (no scent, but you can think about them :-), and don't forget citrus is native to China/region. Years ago, I had some Rhododendron fragrantissimum flower oil, but is is impossible to find now. I sense a theme here, Ylva. Do you have to limit it to flowers? Guest guest
Forgot osmanthus and aglaia. I've never been able to determine if the absolute is from the aglaia flowers or seeds, but the flowers produce the seeds, so that counts, right? LOL. Other inspiration..... Green Tea Star Anise Jasmine Rose bourbonica abs. Anise Orange Blossom/ Neroli Mimosa Orange Mandarin Honey Beeswax Sandalwood Ginger Ambrette Peach Leaf Lemon Infusing some Chinese Five Spice blend might be interesting and using very well diluted in a miniscule quantity. it's Cinnamon, Fennel, Licorice, Anise, Ginger, Chili Pepper, Allspice, Cloves. This would be great with Osmanthus and Rose. The spices have an earthy sweetness I like. I have always wanted to make a tincture with fresh Lychees- I think it would be beautiful to capture the scent somehow. I remember in the early 70's Kiel's in NYC had a very (very) highly concentrated and sweet Chinese Flowers perfume- fragrance not real, that was interesting....can't remember what was supposed to be in it. I'd go in and put a drop on from time to time. So strong! That was the same era as Perfumer's Workshop with Tea Rose. My fave in 7th grade (circa 1973;-) This theme all sounds SO juicy and good to me right now!! I think I am going to have to make a perfume from this idea now ;-) Ooops, I have a client calling...nevermind. Thanks Ylva. It does not take much sometimes to push me over the edge, lol.
