Why do wheat sprouts make me fart?

I have started eating wheat sprouts the other day. I started eating the

sprouts when they first showed their roots, to revealing green parts.

SInce eating the sprouts, I have been farting a more sweet, but nasty

smell. What gives?

I have not had problems with lentils or fenugreek, radish, alfalfa

sprouts.

Have had problems with soy (stomach pain).

Any ideas? Is my stomach OK? I feel like it is messed up, but not sure

how. I seem to fart easie

Farting excessively is a sign that your body is having to work too hard

to digest your food. Many people have a hard time digesting wheat, in

the early sprout phase, as you have described, there is still a lot of

starch, which is the culprit. If you wait until you have real grass,

and only eat or juice the grass, you should have no problems digesting

it. The other thing you might look at is your food combining, what are

you eating in the same time period as the sprouts? Poor food combining

can often result in stomach pain, distress or gas (burps, pain, and

farts). There is a lot of information on food combining available on an

internet search, if you are not familiar with food combining. Finally,

be aware that there is an opioid in wheat that can also mess with many

parts of your being, including your intestines, and really is best

avoided. This opioid is NOT present in wheatgrass, but in the early

stages of sprouting, it still is. Good luck. I hope this helps.
