Guest guest
The other day I put some on my arm, and it smelled of cat's urine -- I have not diluted it but I just put some on my arm and I think maybe that is just it' s nature. Aren't some essences just nasty by nature?. It has a strangely sweet side as well. Hi, Have you diluted it? I once bought pink lotus from the (now long departed) Guild and hated it. It smelled right out of the bottle exactly as you describe it: 'cat urine'. I tried diluting it and it still smelled that way, only diluted. However I have some of 's which he sells as a 'contemporary attar', diluted in New Caledonian sandalwood oil, and it smells great. I've never tried his pure absolute; perhaps it smells like the stuff I got from the Guild or perhaps it is different. My guess was that the pink lotus I got from the Guild must have come from a different source but I really don't know. Dorian

I think I was one of the very few who thought both pink and white lotus (and blue I think) reminded me of the old fashioned " issol " (sp?) toilet cleaner!! Didn't like them one bit at all - but others seemed ready to kill to keep the smelling papers he passed round. Maybe the Lotus oils are one of the Love/Hate (no middle road) oils?? It didn't smell this way at first, at least not to my nose. Kathleen
