Yes, the procedure is reversible. They say it's riskier than the bypass procedure. You can try going here (http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/Revision/) for information. It may prove to be a great resource to not only connect with other dieticians but also people who've gone through the GBR. The posts are interesting to read. Hope it helps.

We reversed one patient per her request. It took over 5 hours in

surgery. She is doing well still and had not regained her weight loss

back as she continues to follow the good habits she was used to doing

after ther gastric bypass. We continue to check her labs and so far

she is fine. No problems reported with absorption or foods tried
