Hi.

I have patient who underwent Roux-en-Y gastric bypass on 6/13 - he has

been readmitted to the hospital due to an abscess and is now

intubated. He had a duotube placed into the small bowel. I have

reviewed past postings on this site for tube feeding, but was still

wondering what everyone else was using as a formula. I have read that

an elemental formula is not necessary, and Osmolite/Jevity would be

appropritate. Is this the consensus?

Any advice would be greatly apprecitated. Feel free to e-mail me

personally with your response.

Thanks.

I've used jevity/probalance without problems.
