Professional and Personal Perspectives -- A Panel of HealthCare Providers

The next meeting of the NorCal Bariatric Nutrition Networking Group will be October 13 at 2:30 pm at UC Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. Mark your calendars to attend or to listen in by phone. The meeting will be held in the Patient Services Support Building (PSSB) on the medical center campus located adjacent to the main hospital and the parking garage. If you park the parking garage on Colonial and Stockton, ask the attendent to point you toward the PSSB. We are meeting in room G300. After the event, join us at the Marriott for networking and a social hour. We will hear personal and professional perspectives from our colleagues who have undergone surgical weight loss procedures. Hear from them what they wish they had known and what they wish we knew. Also learn what helped them and hear which of our recommendations are realistic and which fall short. Our panel will include a fellow dietitian, a TPN pharmacist, a nurse and a physician. Each panelist will share his or her experience followed by a down-to-the-dirt discussion about life after surgery and the role of nutrition. What they have to say may surprise you! Please join us!
