Guest guest
What a night! We had such a good time meeting all the other BFL'rs, especially ones I've chatted to online. And the best part was my darling partner Lance won the title of NZ Champ for men aged 18-25 - wahoo!!! He's so over the moon about it...hehe! They gave him a thousand dollar bike, $500 worth of product, a big EAS finalist sports bag full of all sorts of stuff, like a swiss ball, box of storm bars, EAS towels, journal, thermo thingy capsules, oh just heaps of stuff! I'm so so proud of him *big grin* Took loads of photos on the night, if anyone is interested they are up here; http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~jurgenbrea/NZ_NOC/ALBUM1.HTML P.S. I am the one in red standing next to Porter - I got to meet Porter!!!!!! P.P.S. Even more humbling, I got to meet Horomona. What an amazing guy... just incredible. For those of you who don't know his story, check it out: http://www.bodyforlife.com/successtories/champions/story.asp? success_pk=77 http://www.musclemedia.com/articles/v90/jared.asp He makes me realise that if he can do it, ANYBODY can. in NZ C1W8D4 > Every year EAS put on a " night of champions " . Guest guest
I forwarded him everyone's congrats, he was tickled pink :-D He's the one on the other side of Porter. He went from I think low twenties in body fat to 8% during two challenges (had one month off inbetween them). He didn't put on as much muscle as he'd have liked, so he's been builking up in the last 8 weeks, feels like he can't bear one more meal! I'm not really sure what I've lost on BFL so far. I lost 16kg (35lbs) on Weight Watchers, then did nothing for several months (put on maybe 2kg) then went on BFL. Since then I've lost 7kg(15.4lbs) in scale weight, 5kgs of that during this challenge which I'm almost finished week 8 of. But I haven't figured out how much muslce I've put on, so maybe it's a little more than 7kg in fat! > In a message dated 3/11/2004 1:58:29 PM Eastern Standard Time, > no_reply writes: > > > P.S. Guest guest
Congrats to your partner!!! That's awesome. And WOW, congrats to you on your acheivements so far (both WW and BFL). You look great! I wonder how come I didn't hear about the BFL night. The Bruce Mason center is about 10 minutes from my house. Grrrr... not that I have anything to show except my big round tummy! I've been renovating a house today (stripping wallpaper and ripping up linoleum, the worlds hardest home diy job, blah). Not that I have much choice, but my back is not convinced that 6 months pregnant is a good time to be doing these things! Lol. I think I'm going to be in as much pain tomorrow as I would be if I did a full on weights workout. Phoenix
