Guest guest
Hi Anne, Sounds like a very nice friend... I know you live in NY, but you seem to always get the rain where you are... Need to keep an eye on the new hurricane Jeannie, at the moment, looks like shes going to go up the east coast ( All take care in its path!!! How are you doing Anne??? Have the Robins left your area yet??? Ours have, along with the wren's, starlings and we have seen two BIG groups of Canadian geese heading south already! Any idea whats going on this winter??? For our area, this is Too Soon!!! Take care my friend... ((( Love and Hugs )))helen I am not near Ivan, but up in NYS, we generally get heavy rain later on My best friend Bill lives in New Orleans, He has gone to a hotel just in case as N.O. would be in deep trouble if Cat 5 hits, the great pumping system could not help it, he is between the gulf and Lk Pontchartraine, with the Mississippi nearby I worry about his wife, she has stage 4 cancer and is due for her Chemo on Friday. No, he and I do not have THAT kind of relationship, just very good friends except when we get into arguments about the Civil War! We just tell each other about interests, current events and so on ,so PLEASE! One thing I have learned ,never never never get into an argument with a tried and true Southerner about who won the Civil War, a Northerner has lost before it starts! Anne May today there be peace within you.May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. Guest guest
Hi Helen The rain left on Monday and the days since have been gloroius, well it is very early here but it supposed to be sunny, rain returns on Friday The birds have left, late August and most bird songs are gone, they have left for parts unknown, most come to nest, raise chicks then leave As for the geese, they start coming through about now, I imagine there will be thousands on the lakes by the end of the month and early October, they fly around and stay to eat cut corn fields, at least the grain left on the ground, then one day they are gone, next day there is usually a very cold snap arriving, they all seem to know this. It goes on and on about this estate divvy up, I wrote a letter to Rick saying I would gladly give up the farm land, but I want this house and ten acres, no reply, well I am on all pension monies now and I do not think he is just in wanting me out by selling it all, the house is not the best ,what does he want it for, he could never sell it and make money, the real estates in this area were informed of what he is by my friend Sandy who is a broker herself, they might not even touch it. Who knows. My back is worse, taking meds daily now and that old belt comes in handy, funny how such a simple thing helps the spine! It is just one of those used by workers in Sams club and other business. when the back is killing me I wear it for a few hours and relief is good. The scoliosis despite my best efforts hain't getting any better, the rest of me got thinner as I am careful about diet, well most of the time, sometimes I stray! I hope you are all okay, and that hurricane does not hit Ohio badly, we will get some effect that we know, mostly swollen rivers and more rain of course. Talked to someone ;last night who has been to New Orleans, he said the sea walls would not do a lick of good if there is a heavy surge from the Gulf, the city may get flooded 8-10 ft. if the river and Lk Pontraine come under Ivans not so tender touch. My friend Bill was on line from the hotel uptown last night,he had wanted to go to La Vegas as the place is dirt cheap during the week and one gets a lof of free food, but his poor wife cannot travel any more, having this dreadful scourge of bone and stage 4 cancer. I think that he has resigned himself though-- somewhat, her blood was so poor in red cells that she could not have more chemo last week. Well I must go Lots of hugs, stay safe and you are such a good grandma to the little girls! Anne ..

Guest guest
Yes Helen I try to have a positive attitude most of the time, the son who does this is to be the sufferer in the end, there is a way or rather what goes around comes around Rained all day yesterday, naturally I wanted to grease up the auger on the snoblower, that is a job I can do, not hard at all, I feel winter is going to be hard this year, it has to be working well! I was very depressed the other night, so there I was alone and in the depth of misery, to put on the computer and know that I have friends out there soon corrected the depression. Why I got such an attack of the blues is beyond me, I just felt summer was gone and I had not gone anywhere etc. something within me dark and morose took over. I met a friend in stown today, and went to lunch at the Chines restaurant, then we went down to the lovely park in Lake Otsego with the ancient trees and many many boats, there is even a lighthouse on thet lake! Took photos and she looked at all the photos that I taken in the past two years, ha ha only the best get into the albums! I see the improvement my self. I am getting good! Keep safe and happy, how is your weather out in Ohio,I know one thing, I would never live in Fla, we might get a rare hurricane or tornado, very rare! We get severe winters, but we do not have the terror of those disasters! I can stand winter better than the heat anyway! My friend was able to keep his wifes chemo appt. She is getting a lower dose he said, but Helen although it helps, it cannot cure, he said they are thinking of using radiation for the bone cancer, I fear that stage 4 cancer has little hope,he said she has had to increase her pain killers to 3 a day not good New Orleans escaped the hurricane, there was great fear about if things went wrong the city would flood beyond help. Love from your friend Anne. You and the grandchildren keep; safe and love to them too
