WC Fees in Oregon

It is my understanding that the WC fees are determined by the average

billed amount for any given service from the previous year here in

Oregon.  So for a 98940 service they would simply look at every billed

service for this code submitted to the WC system for 2009 and then

average these out. Then Vola!- they have a new fee for this service. 

If this is true, then if all the doc's in Oregon carefully keep their

fees at or just below the new rate every year we will see our accepted

WC/Auto fees for any given service decrease every year.  This appears

to be exactly what is happening.

Couldn't it also have to do with the fact that, because so many IWs have been steered away from us that it 'appears' that IWs aren't interested in chiro work? THAT's the piece that needs to be corrected.
