Guest guest
Hi everyone. Thought I'd post some progress notes from an 8 weeker. 8 weeks ago I weighed 152. (I'm 5' 6.5 " ) This morning I weigh 150. This was first thing in the morning and I know it will change throughout the day. That's the just the way it goes. measurements on Jan 1: Bust - 40, waist - 35.5, abs - 39, Hips - 41, Thighs - 20, Arms 11.5 measurements Mar 28: bust - 39.5, waist- 33.75, Abs-37, hips -39.5, thighs - ?, arms 11.5 I'm learning that measurements can be a tricky thing! You really need to make sure you know exactly where you're measuring each time to be accurate. For instance I'm kind of confused on my leg measurements because I can't remember where I measured originally. I can get three different measurements on my upper leg depending on where I put the tape measure. I get measurements of 20 " , 21 " or 21.5 " all within 1/4-1/2 inch of each other depending on where I place the tape measure. I'm not going to worry about it at this point because legs is one area I don't need to lose anything. I think the same measuring discrepencies can happen at any point and I'm suspicious about my arm measurements as well. I'll just have to be more careful about writing the specific landmarks for measuring next time I do this challenge. Also measurements and scale weight can vary tremendously throughout the day or week! Just a few days ago my tape measurements were very diffferent. It just goes to show you that if you're someone who doesn't get dramatic changes in a short time then you should really just focus on how you look and feel and not get hung up on weighing and measuring every week or month. It's probably best to just chart your results at the end of the 12 weeks and then you would see the most differences. I know it's hard not to continually track the progress because we want that motivation of seeing things happening. Changes will happen with consistency and dedication. It's just slower for some people than others. I'm hoping I haven't hit a plateau and I can trim a little bit more in these next few weeks. I'm already thinking that I can make this a way of life with maybe a little more flexibility. Good luck everybody. And thanks for keeping me on track. Results are a lot different than I was secretly hoping for but as long as there is some change I'm content to keep plugging away. I hate exercise and I truly believe that cardio workouts are torture! This is why I'm most pleased that I have stuck to this exercise program for eight weeks. I've really committed. I deserve to see results! Thanks for listening.
