Let's Close on Inclusion of Integrative Practitioners in Federal Policy! The Congressional health reform session of 2009 marked the debut of " licensed integrative practitioners " and " integrative practices " onto the national policy stage.  Now it's time for us to " close " the deal!

Are you pro-integrative practices? This Integrator Action! describes 6 specific ways Congress  included licensed integrative practitioners, licensed complementary and alternative medicine practitioners and integrative practices in major

federal policy initiatives for the first time. The language, not yet passed into law, could include LAcs, integrative MDs, DCs, NDs, holistic nurses, LAcs and more. Inclusion is potentially broad: workforce, medical homes, community health, non-discrimination, comparative effectiveness research, and health promotion.

We speak of transforming U.S. medicine. That means being at the table. This legislation, if passed, puts us there, in many ways. Now is a key time to persevere. Let your members of Congress know that you want integrative practitioners in relevant health professions-related legislation. Click in here to review a draft then send off a letter now!

Thank-you!
