Don't do it! Be strong!! You can get over that moment! Drink 12 oz

of water... jog around a bit (or jumping jacks or anything to get

your heart rate up and your muscles pumped). Think about all your

great progress: pants getting bigger while you get smaller.

If all else fails, try mixing 1 T of flax oil (or peanut butter)

with 1 scoop chocolate protein powder. Add a little water until you

get a thick consistency. I drop this by tablespoonfuls onto waxed

paper, pop it in the freezer, and 1 hour from now, you can take it

out and eat it like candies... the wait helps you put off the

craving, too.

Hope this helps,

Marie

I'm one of those people who can just eat one hershey kiss or a couple

m & m's and leave it at that....if you can do that, I don't see any

harm in it. If this is going to be a " lifetime " thing, I just can't

see not allowing myself to have a morsel of chocolate 6 days a week

just to say I'm squeaky clean.

What is EFA?

I'm new to all of this and I started out with the EFL book. I just

got the BFL book last week and bought the EFL yesterday at Walmart. I

got it out twice at the library and HAVE to return it now.

THat is SOOO cute that your S.O. would call one of your co-workers

and tell them that. My D.H. (I know he THINKS he's being supportive)

tells me I look fine the way I am. I only need to lose about 10 lbs.

but that doesn't matter, I feel sloppy and uncomfortable. My friends

try to be supportive but for the most part, they struggle with their

weight and can't see why I'm all up-in-arms over a few pounds.

Your S.O. sounds wonderful, you're a lucky gal.

As soon as I read that I gasped at my own silliness and lunged at my

water bottle and drank for all I was worth. Then I remembered I have

a jar of peanut butter in my draw, so I had about half a teaspoon of

that. I don't actually LIKE peanut butter outside of cooking (I stir

it into baked beans sometimes), so was quite happy to stop there.

About 2 minutes later I felt relief! maybe it was a placebo, but who

cares as long as it works!

That's a GREAT idea about the drops of protein powder &

flaxseed/peanut butter - I'm absolutely going to do that and keep

them in the freezer for emergencies! Thank you so much for the

ideas, I feel much stronger now :-) *hugz*

oh i'm definately not.... I'm a slot-machine eater. if one goes in,

the rest of the bag follows when it comes to chocolate.

EFA = essential fatty acids. Like udos of flaxseed oil. Gotta

have 'em!

He IS supportive of me isn't he :-) Every morning when the alarm

goes off he rolls over to cuddle me, and wherever his hand lands

(usually on my waist or on my leg) he gives it a rub, then I feel him

tense up, and he says " you're getting so LITTLE! " or " oh my God

you're so toned, feel it! feel your muscles! " It's really sweet :-)

What a sweetie....*sigh*

I went back and read the FAQ's about the EFA's...(sounds like a

secret code). Do they really make that much of a difference?

What a fantastic idea Stasia. I am going to pick up a couple of each

bar and do what you suggested. Then when those late night cravings

hit I can naw on a chunk of frozen bar. Great idea!

Lots of times! I do a lot of talking to myself outloud and in my head

to get me through those moments. The biggest thing that keeps me on

track is to ask myself will I feel any better or worse if I give in

and go off plan. WORSE, it is always worse and then I regret it.

Hang in there :)
