Guest guest
Dear Docs, Can anyone share with me their own situation or situations that they know about regarding the amount of a flat monthly rent that is being charged to a naturopath? All front office and back office support is provided. Thanks, Sorah, DC Corvallis, OR msorah@...
Guest guest
I had NDs in my office in past over the years. We did a base rent of 500/month for the "room" ( a large room approx 10x15) and shared clinic space such as reception and rest rooms. Then there was a 'service fee' of about 20% of collections. This fee covered: page on our website, phone answering, reception (during our regular open hours so there was no extra staffing), scheduling, billing/collecting, advice/consultation from me regarding coding etc. (we know a lot of stuff after doing this for years and it was very valuable info for the NDs). Although we "made" income from it and offered a nice service to our clients, I eventually was glad to see them go because my philosophy about how to "manage" many of the cases was somewhat at odds with the NDs we had on board, so I tended not to refer as much as they would have liked and they were generally regarding chiropractic care as only for musculo-skeletal symptoms (even though both were patients and should have known better, my bad)...so we were sort of happy to get that energy/philosophy out of our office as it was somewhat "out of sorts" with the underlying philosophy of our office.
