Guest guest
A cereal snack bar doesn't sound like authorized foods...maybe try getting in a carb and proteint (authorized) at each meal. Hang in there...know our body sometimes requires different amounts of food. Also, are you bored, upset, etc.,?? I know that affects my hunger too. > For the last week or so I have been hungry all the time! Yes, I'm > getting my EFA's, yes I'm getting enough calories... but I'm obsessed > with food! Guest guest
Also look at how much protein you are getting - I find eating more protein fills me up whereas lower quality carbs makes me crave things more (like cereal bars) :-) Drinking enough water too? Drink some warm water with lemon in it for a nice change of pace - warm stuff also fills up your tummy - people who had soup before a meal ate less and were fuller than others in studies. <<joni>> *eat like a horse but look like a thoroughbred*
Guest guest
I just had to up my portion sizes. As you gain muscle and get into the program longer, your metabolism will increase. What I do first is just see if adding more veggies can help. If that doesn't help, then I slowly increase portion sizes. For me I notice it most at meals 2 and 4 so I increase those first and see how I do. But it sounds like progress to me Colleen > For the last week or so I have been hungry all the time! Guest guest
Believe me, NZ cereals are BORING compared to US ones! Although it has no protein, each bar is a suitable carb source in a pinch, hardly any sugar at all, low calories etc. They've not much taste, but I keep one handy for emergencies. You are so right about the emotions, they're all over the place at the moment. I got a few of the issues sorted out that were bothering me last night, and I actually don't feel as hungry today, so you just might be onto something! I hope I'm burning more calories at the same time too thought... *hopeful* in NZ C1W6D6 > > A cereal snack bar doesn't sound like authorized foods...maybe try > getting in a carb and proteint (authorized) at each meal. > > Hang in there...know our body sometimes requires different amounts of > food. Guest guest
good idea about the quality of carbs. Are pieces of fruit good quality or not? I think on average I'll have 2 servings of fruit per day, and 1 of oats, one of rice. I'm pretty sure I'm OK with the oats/rice, but not sure about the fruit...? in NZ > Also look at how much protein you are getting - I find eating more > protein fills me up whereas lower quality carbs makes me crave things > more (like cereal bars) :-) > Drinking enough water too? Guest guest
Fruit is a good carb but for me I find I'm more hungry after a fruit meal or yogurt meal. I find potatoes, brown rice, WW couscous, lentils, oats to have more " sticking power " . Fruit is definitely authorized tho. Colleen > good idea about the quality of carbs.
