Guest guest
There an interesting article on p. 81 of the new Feb.'04 Prevention magazine....it talks about how we confuse mind hunger, which has nothing to do with food, with body hunger, which does. Mind hunger is endless, bottomless, erratic. Like when you pass a bakery and want an eclair, even though you just ate breakfast. Anyhow, the article talks about how we lose the ability to easily distinguish real physical hunger, and we continually succumb to this mind hunger thing, and the author gives suggestions for dealing with this and raising your awareness on this important issue. As the article points out, eating when you're hungry is NOT what causes weight gain...you put on pounds when your body has no need for food and you eat anyway.
