It is so funny how people work.... reason i say this is because... i have done

alot of diets... too many actually and never ...i repeat NEVER have learned more

than i have since i have been doing BFL this year.... i am 300lbs... and

sometimes the bad inner thoughts try to take over.. telling me that ..you dont

see progress might as well quit... it is gonna be sooooo far away till you get

thin might as well eat happy now because you will be dead before you get thin...

(i am 47 almost 48).... i stopped one diet because while loosing i started

getting a flabby fat.. that sacared me.. didnt want to be flabby either... then

i was told something similar to what you said.... below... and that made me

think.... again those bad thoughts started surfacing again.... this time... so i

am soooo GLAD THAT YOU POSTED THIS I NEEDED IT BADLY TO BE REMINDED...

>>>If you stick with BFL long enough and are consistent with your eating clean

and working out(a la Mina) your entire body will transform and the baby belly

will be nice and flat. There is a lot of fat surrounding internal organs in

addition to the subcutaneous fat that is more visible. That internal fat

accounts for a lot of the poochy pot bellies, especially those seen on men who

look nine months pregnant. One reason why folks think they're not making

progress is that the intramuscular fat(think marbling in cuts of beef) is

usually the first to be burned during the process then the fat surrounding your

internal organs, so a lot of the time good things are going on but are simply

not visible. Last, the subcutaneous fat gets chiseled away and that you can see

but usually occurs well into the program. So whatever you do, don't give up.

Good things are happening if you are sticking with the program on the six days.

Please continue posting your progress.

It's not " cardio " but a combination of things -- it all comes down to

losing bodyfat.

  • 1 year later...

I got so big I developed a hernia, in my belly. As I lost the weight, it got

worse, then gradually, it has started to firm up, a bit. But, no miracles or

anything. It really depends on generics. My Mother does not have a belly pouch

after 3 kids, and I have had 2 of my own, and my stomach looks pretty good. I

mean, if I bend over and shake..well, it does not look the same as when I was

say, 19.

But, to sum it up. It may get better. As for me it took 2 years to start to

get better, 15 pounds from my goal weight. But, look at your family, does the

women have pouches? If so, you may be stick with it. Also, look at your goal

weight. Are you there yet? If you are, and have been for some time..2 years.

then I would say it will not get much better. All the crunches in the world,

cannot show much under loose skin.

Sorry, I hope this helped.

Did anybody that had a baby belly (loose skin, stretchmarks) get rid of

it?? How long did it take?

I'm thinking about getting a tummy tuck because I just don't know if it

will go away with me exercising.

What do you girls think??

Also, for women who have been overweight most of their lives and lose the

weight, they have a LOT of loose skin. I did after I lost 100 pounds. I even

had a consultation with Dr. Zaks, the doctor who did Carnie 's tummy tuck,

but it's a moot point now that I've gained the weight back.

However, Mina Hobbi stated that she massaged her loose skin EVERY day and it

went away without surgery.

That's just my $0.02.
