learning to make powdered incense, and later cones, sticks, and

Hi Christa,

You should join us at:

Look at the recent archives on making incense. The way I'm presenting

incense-making is an approach which is very easy but presents the

basics. First we are going to work with " powdered incense " which can

be burned in what we call " incense trails " it is the best place to

begin because the blends or recipes are very flexible in powdered

form. You can adjust your mixtures and get them like you want them

before you make them into cones or sticks. It also allows you to test

the aroma of your blends immediately without have to wait for the

cones to dry. We are starting with a pure sandalwood incense powder,

and then we will do a traditional-style powdered incense with

sandalwood, cinnamon, clove. After that we will learn how to simply

add water to these powders to make cones or sticks. At that point

I'll also show how to add and use some essential oils to the blend to

create more depth and even make floral type incense. I have a better

form than cones which are a little wasteful which is much easier to

make than sticks.

You will be able to apply the formula you mentioned to either incense-

powders or cones using this method. And they WILL burn well.

BTW: Reading your book :) Very nice!
