I would be on my fourth or fifth " challenge " for BFL. I don't even call them " challenges " any more, but more appropriately " chapters " in my life. The change of lifestyle is the important thing. People should realize that they need to find a program that speaks to them, motivates them to get going. I found what I needed from BFL. Am I a walking commercial for BFL/EAS...no way. I'm intelligent enough not to buy into everything I see or read. I most definitely " tweek " the BFL program so that it fits into what I want to accomplish. Just another area that people need to realize about *any* weight training/loss program. Thanks Margaret!! Guest guest
Madeline, What program did you use? Clint Bateman Houston Tx Re: Re: Body For Life As to whether the transformation photos are real or not... I believe them. I started my fitness program using a 12 week plan (not Body for Life, but still a marketing gimmick). Frequently my photos are used with potential clients to promote the program, or just for the gym's general marketing. While I think the program I started with is superior to the Body for Life plan, I think that ANY of them that get someone started on the road to good health are goodness - and I don't begrudge the entrepreneurs their profits. I like the fact that my gym uses my photos - especially since they use the " before " , " work in progress " , and " current " , emphasizing that I still work on keeping strong and fit. It's important that people understand that the 12 weeks isn't where you reach your goals and then you can go back to what you ate/exercised before - it's the year or two or three (the lifetime) afterwards that counts. The " for life " part of Body for Life is frequently ignored. Guest guest
Not a problem I was just curious. Is there anywhere online they have this listed? Guest guest
No problem again, Clint. The 24 hour fitness 24/5 program is described (for advertising purposes) at http://www.24hourfitness.com/html/clubs/24_5/ I followed the program religiously for the first 12 weeks.... except for the supplements. My trainer did not recommend the supplements (he was unusual that way), but referred me to research on the ones recommended by the 24 Hour Fitness owners instead. He also pointed out that the " research " was paid for or performed by promoters of the products. So, I just used the nutrition recommendations, the exercise, and vitamins/minerals, along with the personal training. It worked. And it continues to work, 2 1/2 years later.
