Guest guest
Thank God that she is alright!!! That is so scarey!!! I do so hate storms... We are in flood warnings around here also... The Maumee is going to crest tomorrow morning... Doesn't affect me, but Grand Rapids is a historical town and it is sad when it floods over... Love Helen DID I TELL YOU ALL ABOUT MY DAUGHTER DURING THAT STORM// she was in her basement & after a loud crash of thunder a fire ball came thru under the door & traveled the cement floor & went to one of the puters that was on the floor & fried it; it went to the front ;not the back where there was a surge on it; it didnt touch the tv ; I was just so relieved that my girl was ok;; & it didnt start a fire either;; so weird;; Hugs Dort

Guest guest
Me too ;; Thanks ;; Hugs Dort -- Re: --- Re: Mich., Ind., Ohio., Ill., Iowa. Hi , We've had a rough weekend here with the weather... Not as bad as Friday though... Have another batch coming in on Tues... Out West is gettting it now ( I'm Sure Mich. would share some of their rainfall with you ) They have water running down their streets, they have had so much at a time... Too bad they can't come up with something to send water to the areas that need it from the ones that have too much! We only lost power once for a couple of hours... Our neighbor lives up a long lane and one of their trees came crashing down over their power line going up their driveway, which took out all our power in our area here... The electric company finally came out and sinse it was going to take them a while to repair all the damage, they cut connections with the neighbor and got everyone else up and running... I don't know if the neighbor has their power back yet or not as there are still over 800 without electricity sinse tha last storm yesterday... They said everyone should have power back by Tues. (Just in time for the next storm ) Saedi is 4th grade and when they had to get in tornado positions Fri., she said a couple of the girls started crying as they were so afraid... She said "Mama, I was scared too, but I remembered what you always said, and I tried not to be afraid for them and I talked to them as they were saying they were going to die and I told them, no they weren't, just have faith!" and then she said she just kept talking to them about other things and they calmed down... Then she said, "Mama, I was afraid, but trying to help the girls, kept me too busy to think about myself being afraid." I am SO Proud of her... I told her Grma was scared too! She just smiled... You TRY and get some Calgon time to yourself... Tell them ALL, that its Mothers turn to have a day OFF!!! ( I already know the answer," yea, right!!! ":o) ) Love Ya ((( Relaxing Hugs ))) Helen Hi guys, here. I guess I didnt even know what was going on.... just that it got real windy & cold - as soon as I got home with my littlest granddaughter, a new kiddie pool, and her new swimsuit. (Goosie still thoroughly enjoyed herself tho!) A friend from Aspen came in Friday, and said they were supposed to get snow there that night. They get twisters on the East side of Colorado, but I think the Rocky Mountains stop them from coming over here. We get "dust devils". We could sure use some of that rain. We're back on water restrictions. , I'm so sorry you're feeling puny again/still. Glad you got some rest. Or was it the body saying slow down or I'll knock you down? Please feel better. Helen, I just got chills reading that! That was really, really not good for you. I got in a hurry to reply, hope you've checked back in. I'm trying to catch up, as usual. It's been a loooong weekend. Stay safe!
