Guest guest
I have narrowed down some perfumes that I really like and I would love to make them. I have bought several carrier oils and several EO's. I like to buy locally if possible but if not I would love some suggestions on websites to purchase from. I went to my local health food store and asked for Root EO and Oakmoss EO. They didn't have either. Do I need to use all EO's for perfumes or can I use absolutes and/or Perfume Oils? Are there substitutes for Oakmoss EO or Root or Seed EO? Thanks for all your help and for a great forum. I have learned some things about perfumery from the forum but I know I have a long way to go yet!
Guest guest
Hi , I'm a newbie to perfumery and this group but I do have Oakmoss absolute land angelica seed eo. I have obtained Oakmoss absolute (I don't think it comes in an essential oil) from Mt. Rose Herbs and it was not terribly pricey. Although I obtained angelica seed locally I believe you can obtain the essential oil from Mountain Rose Herbs.com as well. I know there are additional sources on the web but this is where I got mine. From what I've read I think absolutes are fine in perfume. Hope this helps!
