So I too in zone 10 will try and grow it. Does anyone know if it has the same medicinal properties as regular Coneflower? don't know. Here's an informative link from Wayside that ID's it as E. purpurea (not angustifolia, so if it does have medicinal value, it's the purpurea properties, not the angustifolia.) http://tinyurl.com/3aor J & P has 2/1 price (compared to Wayside) http://tinyurl.com/2u2g3 Anya http://member.newsguy.com/~herblady
Guest guest
Echinacea that smells like orange blossoms I followed a link after this description: CHICAGO Unveils Orange Coneflowers NPR (audio) - USA .... Check it out for yourself. You really have to get your nose in it - very faint. I tried distilling some blossoms a couple of years ago . . . disappointing. I'm anxious to see these, too . . .sounds like the scent is stronger. Be well, Marcia Elston http://www.wingedseed.com " First of all, cultivate a contented spirit. A garden is a good place to begin.
