Hi and all,

I do mix the tuberose hydrosols and others with essential oils, absolutes,

in a eau de toilette.

I strain them thru cornstarch. Sometimes just letting the bottles sit for a

while will take away the rest of the cloudy look.

The tuberose hydrosol is great but I also like to use my jasmine grand,

jasmine sambac, and ylang ylang for wonderful florals.

There is a little pic of my tuberose flowers on my alt.perfume page:

I don't know why when I take a pic of a white flower, it turns out pink!

You should see the galangal flower on my plants page, it's almost fuscia

(really white in RL, though)

While I'm musing over my fragrant plants, everyone remember me writing

about my peach-scented fragipani? It usually blooms April- Nov, but this

year, bloomed constantly, even in the coldest winter months (Miami.) I was

able to snip bunches even when the tree was completely defoliated.

My attempts at infusing the blossoms in jojoba failed miserably, though.

Got a big jar (over a quart) of expensive, rank jojoba as a result. I may

try 's method of using food-grade hydrogen peroxide to 'wash' the

blossoms first.

There is something in the neighborhood blooming right now that gives off a

spicy, woodsy scent at dusk. I'm going to walk around tonight to attempt to

identify.

so many plants, so little time!
