Guest guest
Hi SueH., Its a shame that folks that need money from where they have worked or even medicare should have to go without things because of the mighty dollar ( Its sad that this country can't come up with a prescrition plan for all that need it also ( How are you doing now??? Love Ya's! (((Healthy Hugs))) Helen Hi Helen, Thankfully, it is only my long term disability from my job that is giving me a hard time (so far). Social Security hasn't bothered me at all yet....But, they have cut my money to the point that I can no longer afford anything, including my meds. Hopefully, I will win my case and get it back, but the lawyer I spoke to told my that I shouldn't hold my breath. Guest guest
First Off! ""I know a lot of you have much more serious problems than I"" YOU KNOW BETTER THAN TO SAY THAT!!! Around here, NO ONE is more serious than the other!!! We treat ALL the same! GOT IT??? ) Love Ya!!! ) Now, Hi SueH. ), How long will it take the Docs to get your letters out for you??? Have they Stopped giving you your checks already??? I don't know what to tell ya about the suing bit, ask your lawyer, or if he only gives one free counsel, than go to another one for a free counsel about this and see what they say... Around here our local news has "ask the lawyers" on for free once a week every week and you can call them for free and ask them anything... Do you have anything like that where you live??? Hey !!! Do you still have the links for where to send for free meds??? I lost all that stuff over a year ago when I crashed and had to get a new computer... If she doesn't still have them I'll try and look for them on line again... Yes, Dr's. are human and they Do make mistakes, but they Don't have the right to cut someone down in just meanness... I agree with you, if it was a fact that you Could work and he Knew for fact that you didn't want to work, then it should Definitely be ON your record! If he is stating that this is off the record, then he is hiding something or just giving his opinion, not his Professional Opinion!!! And That is My Opinion!!! ) You Keep Right on TALKING!!! You've been quiet long enough! Always good to hear from ya and YOU KNOW IT!!! Keep after the Doc's to get those papers done and the sooner the better... Keep us informed as to what is going on and to HOW YOU are DOING!!! Love Ya ((( Praying Hugs ))) Helen Hi Helen and all... I am hangin' in. Its raining so I hurt like heck... I am waiting to hear from my PCP who is writing a letter for me and my rheumy who is filling out some forms that show I am unable to work, Then I have to go to the lawyer to see if he will take the case or not, If he doesn't, he does say that he will advise me for free. Thank GOD for that! In the meantime, I am also trying to decide if I should persue some sort of lawsuit againt the neurologist that told the insurance co that I could work...I have a transcript of the phone conversation he had with them and he said " off the record, she doesn't really want to work" That is an absolute lie...I wouldn't have gone to him for help with the memory and a back injury if I didn't want to work. I guess he thinks he knows more than the other docs combined... Ya know, I have had docs before that screwed up, but I always considered that they are human and made mistakes. I never even thought about suing...but this guy, well, that was just an absolute nasty, mean, and inaccurate comment. On top of that, he knew he was doing something wrong, or he wouldn't have said "off the record" I wish I knew what to do. Right now I have to figure out how to pay the gas and electric, car insurance and buy food...no less my meds. At least some of my docs have been helping by giving me samples. I just can't seem to get the plaquinel or the nexium. Those are the 2 most expensive. I figure I can survive without the allergy and sinus stuff. The others aren't too bad price wise...Oh well....sorry to be complaining again. I know alot of you have much more serious problems than I...But, thanks for listening anyway. I do really appreciate it. It really does help just knowing there is someone out there that understands and cares. Hugs and prayers to you all. Guest guest
Hi SueH. Are you still off the plaquinil??? Has the paper work all gotten figured out yet??? Does Any two Dr's. agree on Anything??? ) Are you able to get your meds now??? Have you started gettting your check again??? I'm So disgusted at a Dr. right now, I better be takin a chill pill before I explode!!! Hope things are turnin around for ya... Sorry I disappeared on ya again... MAYBE, SOMEDAY, things around here will get back to normal, whatever that is... ((( PainFree Hugs ))) Love Helen Hi Helen, yup. I'm already off the plaquinil. My one rheumy said that it was okay to try being off it..since the ana and other blood work have gotten better... BUT I just went back to my old rheumy...(changed cause of insurance changes) and He told me NOT to go off it! I guess these folks are all just practicing. I really hate being a test subject. Either they think your problems are all "in your head" or, when blood work and x-rays prove that to be wrong, then they just have to guess at the rest. Oh well, guess thats what keeps life interesting. Thanks for keeping in touch. Its really nice knowing that people not only care, but that some actually understand too. I'm sooooo glad I found you and the others on this list! Thanks again. Guest guest
Hi SueH, Now what were you taking the plaqunil for exactly??? Definately joint pain will increase... Lots of Docs could care less what they have started, they are not on the receiving line!!! But There ARE Docs out there that would do everything they can for their patients!!! I've had some of each :-() We had a pediatrician for our Drt. 32 years ago, that still holds the title of, uncaring, callous, cold hearted, and the most cruel Dr. I have ever met in my life... He wins, hands down!!! I hope things start turning around for you soon... Can you get any aid from the area you live in??? I sent a link, looks like it might be worth looking into... Its not my Doc, Its Bre's that she has right now, its a plastic surgeon... But I Think I took care of that problem today, we'll see... Will write more about it later... My Family Physician I have right now is a gem... He knows if I call in and say I need to see him, I usually get in the same day, because he knows that I always wait till the last min... ) He knows me all too well ) But let one of my babies be ill or hurt and they are in N O W !!! ) Myself, I do all right, I usually know when I have to get help so it works out ok... ((( Irritableless Hugs ))) Helen Hello again! Nope..still off the plaquinil...but my knuckle joints are getting sore. I wonder if that is related? Anyway, I have been totally frustrated by the paper work and have finally gotten a friend to assist. The lawyer told me what I had to say, and I did get a note from one of my docs, and a form filled out by the rheumy that I can't work. Its still an uphill battle 'cause of that idiot doc that said I could work. Damn, he has no idea about all the problems, I only go to him for my memory and my lower back...and he hasn't done much for either. What did your doc do that got you so upset? Go ahead, vent!
