Guest guest
Since we are talking about billing I have been having an argument with a non-DC colleague about this billing question.Patient comes in their card says $20 copay. So you collect the $20. When the EOB returns you find out the co-pay was only supposed to be $10. My belief is I owe that patient the $10. My colleague argues No that is just a wind fall for the doctor because the patient should know what their insurance covers.I told her I thought this was unethical, immoral and probably illegal.Glenn Sykes, DCNewberg OregonWindows Live™ Hotmail®…more than just e-mail.
