Guest guest
Hello all With the continuing massive expansion of vitamin and herbal companies and their claims I am always looking for the “good stuff” that really works. So I am interested in finding another natural substitute for premarin and what herbal combos and companies for tx of high B/P. Your input is much appreciated. BTW do you know where premarin comes from? They are called premi farms. They AI (artificially inseminate) mares and keep them in a box stall (11’x6’) with a catheter to collect the urine for the entire gestation period usually 11 mos. Then they let the foal stay with mom for about 4 wks then she is AI’d again and put back into a box stall again with catheter. They usually repeat this 3-4 times. The colts are sold and the Phillies are kept for replacements. Thanks Charlie

And transdermal estrogen has produced good one-year results in an Italian study-no heart attacks or blood clots. Unlike horse urine estrogen, these types of replacement therapies contain 17b-estradiol, a synthetic form of estrogen made from plants. 17b-estradiol improves heart function, lowers cholesterol and elevates HDL, the " good cholesterol. " 17b-estradiol estrogens also have a more favorable effect on blood sugar than Premarin. This is important, as disruptions in glucose tolerance have been linked to heart disease. Time will tell whether the plant-derived forms of synthetic estrogen will reduce heart attack risk. s. fuchs dc From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Dr. A Caughlin DC CAC Sent: Wednesday, May 20, 2009 9:02 AM Docs Subject: Premarin substitute Hello all With the continuing massive expansion of vitamin and herbal companies and their claims I am always looking for the “good stuff” that really works.
