I asked this question in a roundabout way a few months back - wondering if

there were any good videos to do that were similar to HIIT. Here's the

basic response I got:

I've always done BFL at home maybe with an occasional workout at the

gym. It is very doable at home. What I did for cardio, before I hurt

my foot, was interval step videos. Not sure if your DH would enjoy

those or not. Just wanted to say that as long as you workout, it

doesn't matter where it is!

There aren't very many true HIIT videos, but those listed below are

EXCELLENT. Also Intense Moves by Gin /Reebok; Voights

Energy Sprint. Mindy Mylrea has some interval stuff but I have never

done her tapes. You can also basically do any cardio video 20 MAS

just adjust your pace accordingly; I do this with Taebo all the time.

If you go to www.videofitness.com you can see a review of just about

any fitness video out on the market.

Are any of these videos 20 minutes in length? If not, do you do the

entire video? How do you adjust the workout so you only do 20

minutes?

They vary in length. For 20MAS, I watch my counter on my vcr. If the

tape has a warmup with stretching, I don't count that as my time.

Then I do the 20MAS following my timer on the VCR. Sometimes it means

I up my pace, during the 9s and 10 I usually don't do what they do, I

usually " run from the bogeyman in place " do plyos, jumping jacks,

etc. Sprint from room to rroom.

Now if I'm doing HIIT I use IMAX, IMAX2 or Intense Moves. It is a

short stretch/warm up and then 10 sections of warmup, middle pace,

high pace, warm up...etc. I only do 20 minutes of the HIIT and again

I don't count the warm up part.

Hopefully I am explaining this right.
