Hello Everyone I have just joined and am thrilled to know there are other parents out there with children who are suffering thru this dreaded disorder OCD and are willing to share their feelings and concerns with others.My son is 17 and was diagnosed with OCD 5 years ago. The last 2 years he was able to be without medication and then this year after Christmas, it decided to show its ugly head again so he is back on medication and taking cognitive therapy. He has been taking 60mgs of Prozac for 3 months and was taking Haldol but was just recently switched to 1/2 mgs of Respiridal. He is being homeschooled and loves it except since the OCD flaired up he can hardly to his work much less anything else. The intrusive thoughts keep coming by the handful each day and he wants so much to be well.So that is my story and I know what a difficult road this is to travel and it helps so much to have others who understand.
