Guest guest
Listmates, Pete will be doing the 3 day Trainers Practicum and the 1 day Brain Prime July 19-22. Workshops will be in northern Chicago, hosted by ph Barr. Descriptions are below. The practicum is for those of you who want advanced, intensive training in designing training protocols and plans based on the assessment. You should be well-grounded in doing the assessment itself, as that will not be covered in the workshop. As always, you can register on the website, www.brain-trainer.com. Take the Workshops link on the left to the workshop description page, in the top paragraph is a link to the workshop schedule and order page. Foxx Trainer’s Practicum: (24 hours $550) Prerequisite: Level 2 and familiarity with TLC Assessment. Each participant brings a current assessment for her/himself and may also bring assessments from clients. Participants will develop and share training plans for multiple assessments as a model for use with clients. Hands-on experience is the major focus of this workshop, but we will NOT performassessments in the workshop: 1. Evaluating multiple assessments and developing multiple training plans to build confidence; 2. Performing training sessions with a variety of training options; 3. Developing protocols and training environments in your native system; 4. A detailed training plan for each participant. BrainPrime, for the Ageing Brain (8 hrs $195) A detailed overview of what is known about age-related cognitive changes in the brain. The jobs of the brain and mind change as we develop through life’s stages, so a 30-year-old’s brain may not be the best tool for a person in the 2nd half of living. A variety of increasingly available techniques will be covered for moving brain activation back toward its prime states, particularly for those of us in our fifties and beyond. The workshop will discuss BrainPrime both from the point of view of personal use and as a service, which trainers can profitably provide to their clients

If you have an interest you have to let Foxx know so we can reach the quota for it to be worthwhile for Pete to take the time.
