Guest guest
Pete and , Thank you both for your replies. I had been using the wrong setting for the beats (although it seemed to produce positive outcomes anyway). Can't wait to see results with the "NEW" "IMPROVED" design. (Thanks, Jane, for asking this question. Always the questions I need the answers to!) Maureen Re: ] Always learning . . . >> another question about beats>>>> Pete,>> Whoa, I am really confused. Guest guest
Maureen, Actually I have changed the design to make the beats when SMR is above the threshold. Because the beats worked as a feedback, and I could get better result this way. Try both ways and let us know which is better for you. Guest guest
Jo, I have tried the SMR with beats both ways now. One with the beats set at decrease and the other with the beats set on increase. My son has always been my most challenging "client." The montage set the way Pete designed it-with the beats set to decrease (they kick in when the client is below, to try and get him where he needs to be) has worked much better for my son. I am wondering now, can I use "beats" to encourage beta? And what would I set them for (of course at a different location on the head)? Also, now that I have used this on my son he hates those what-we-call "cricket sounds (beats)" and I have decreased the volumn, hoping it will not be consciously irritating to him, yet will still encourage his brain where it needs to go. Comments, Pete? (After all, it is your design.) Maureen Re: ] Always learning . . . >> another question about beats>>>> Pete,>> Whoa, I am really confused. Guest guest
Maureen, Thank you for letting me know the results. I think barely audible beats should work fine just like subliminal messages. Guest guest
Maureen, There is a Beta % up with Leading Beats protocol in the package. This works to bring down frequencies above a defined level and increase them when the peak frequency is low. I would definitely change the target frequency to around 14 (I thinkk it's 21 Hz in the design), which you can do in the Expression Evaluator on the Signal Diagram. Remember you can set the carrier frequency of the beats (some clients like 200/214, for example, much better than 1200/1214). And you can reduce volume as well. Swingle's work with beats suggested that they were actually more effective when nearly subliminal.
