And it has not aired yet????

Curtsey of my friend :

A

few months ago, the Montel Willlams show taped a program focused on autism,

which is scheduled to air in the near future. (We do not currently have a

formal schedule for the broadcast around the country.) Participants were

Lyn & Tom Redwood (Safe Minds), Kirby, author of “Evidence of

Harm”; Congressman Dave Weldon from Florida; another parent of a child

with autism; and Andy Shih, our Chief Science Officer. At the time when

NAAR was asked to participate in the program, our former Communications

Director, Joe Guzzardo and I thought it was in NAAR’s best interest to

have a voice of reason (Andy) to represent the other side of the story in the

vaccine controversy. Unfortunately, it seems the actual intention to

present a biased (versus fair) representation of the issues, resulting in the

equivalent of an attack on Andy and NAAR’s position. We are sharing

this information in the event that you get any questions or comments. Our

position on the vaccine controversy remains the same.

The

National Alliance for Autism Research (NAAR) funds and supports research that

investigates all theories surrounding potential causes of autism spectrum

disorders, including whether there is a link between childhood vaccines and

autism, and encourages researchers to submit proposals in this area.

NAAR

is guided by its uncompromising passion to support research that meets the

highest standards of peer review and is an organization of truth-seekers

committed to funding and accelerating the best science that seeks to determine

the causes, prevention, effective treatment and, ultimately, a cure for

autism spectrum disorders.

In

addition to the above, there have also been some recent full page ads in the

New York Times and USA Today entitled “Mercury Poisoning and Autism.

It Isn’t a Coincidence”. It references the establishment of a

new organization called Generation Rescue and advances the theory that mercury

poisoning and the vaccine preservative Thimerosal have been contributing to the

rise in autism. Andy Shih serves as a member of an external advisory

committee charged with planning for a CDC (Center for Disease Control) project

designed to further examine the links between vaccine safety. This

project is being assembled specifically to address the Thimerosal issue.

One of the individuals identified as a Hall of Fame supporter in the Generation

Rescue advertisement is also on this committee with Andy Shih. This

project is in the process of being launched; a first phase to initiate later

this month. It is our hope that this project which will continue to

examine the validity of the vaccine/autism hypotheses and significantly enhance

everyone’s understanding about this issue.
