Guest guest
, Hi. The wireless dongle should intall on the hub, but have you tried doing the installation on the single USB port, then transferring it to the hub? At the end of the install, in Windows Device Manager, there should be a reference to a Wireless dongle both under USB devices and under COM port devices. If only one reference is there, or there is a " ? " (or is it " ! " ) then right click and delete (with dongle inserted), then remove dongle and re-insert to try the installation again. Also double check that the dongle is blinking - no pulse is never good. Else, please backchannel with the details. tks bruce ________________________ > > I am trying to install the Pocket-Neurobics Pendant on my laptop and > having very little success. Guest guest
I have encountered same problem loading PN on two laptops that had only one USB port and I used a hub. Other computers with 2 USB ports no problem. In the 2 laptops, PN had to use 1 of the four com ports. With the computers with 2 USB ports the com port numbers, could go much higher than 4. Guest guest
Bruce: I sent you an email three days ago at Pocket-Neurobics with all the details of what's happening, but haven't heard from you. Maybe I don't have the right address. How do I go about back- channeling you? My " -lingo " is not very technical and I probably don't even know what back-channeling is. Thanks for your help. I can't even get far enough in the installation process for my device manager to read the device. That's why I need you to have all the details I sent in a separate message to you direct email address. I can attach them here, too, but thought I'd wait to see if we can get a direct conversation going. Thanks again. > > > > I am trying to install the Pocket-Neurobics Pendant on my laptop and > > having very little success.
