Dear Gail,

That's a great idea.....looking at the humor in this always helps!!

I can think of lots of things, but I'll start with

" That's great that you haven't changed your underwear for a week! "

Well, my son has learned to do many things with his feet, including using the

remote control for the TV and opening refridgerator and upper kitchen

cabinets!

He is very talented!

Hi Gail,

Great idea. We should collect these into a book for parents, " The OCD

Cheerleader. " :o)

Two recent ones that probably sound strange if overheard in public:

andra, for the 13th time, " Mom, do I have a rock in my eye? "

Me,without even looking, " I can't answer that question, sweetie. "

-and-

Me, " Your hands smell stinky? (With enthusiasm) Let's see if you can go

without washing them until we get home! "

Take care,

Lesli

Hi :

Steve suffered from both contaminated hands and feet! He used his elbows!

Aloha, Kathy

P.S. He was very sick, and very desperate, now he can use his hands and

feet most of the time. He used to constantly clench his hands closed so he

never had to touch anything. When I saw that in his school photo from the

year before we dxed him I just wept. K.

I remember how proud, really really proud I was of Devon the day he

picked a gum ball off the floor, quick swiped it across his shirt, and popped

it in his mouth. With a big smile I said " Oh Devon, that was SO normal! " and

he gave me a big smile back. Gum 2 OCD 0.
