Guest guest
Carol, BioExplorer will most likely work well on any laptop you get. I run it on a 3 yr old IMB ThinkPad with a pentium 3 processor 64mb ram and 3mb video memory Win 98 and that works fine except that I can only run one 3d spectrum analyzer at a time. Everything else including DVD playback works just fine, I would recommend the largest screen you can afford especially if you will not be using a second display. The windows can get pretty full with instruments and objects. It would be best if the computer had at least 16mb dedicated video memory if you want to use the 3d spectrum analyzers. As far as basic requirements go any modern laptop would be OK although with XP on my desktop I have found that 256mb memory is the bare minimum. Guest guest
And whatever you do - do *not* buy machines that come with vcards stating " shared video memory " .
