I remember the school bus issues with Tom - didnt have to deal with them and the girls because they moved the walking distance to 3.5km and we live 3 km from the school! Tom, in grade 6, was taunted for trying to sit in the same seat, for trying to get on last, for just about anything. This was pre-diagnosis. In the end, he gave up taking the bus. Kids can be so cruel. Today I would break this up into small goals for tom. For example, he could try not being last, or trying to sit somewhere else on purpose. Its hard when we cant be there to watch. I had a terrific time at the conference. Though I'm still pretty tired and far behind on my emails, I cant wait to go next year!
