Hi all

I think creating a targeted list with names and addresses that we

can all tackle would be appropriate. Hey Kerbob - got this one?

(GRIN!)

It would be great if we could target the ones we wanted (i.e.

senators, congressional reps, influential in the press, TV show

magnets) and then identify the groups that would target each one on

the list. Come up with a noticable number of books per person and

get on it.

(It would also be my dream that we could designate a person to do

this off list versus receiving 2,000 emails saying " I got this

person and you get that person! " Sorry to get so picky on a Monday.)

I am on this one. Everyone should be getting their list of people of

influence together and garnering support from family and friends to

buy a book or two on EOH day. We should not take this one on the

backs of ASD families - we should get EVERYONE WE TOUCH TO DO THIS.

My daughter works at and Noble and I have told her to order a

bunch this week to have them in stock for the EOH day. She knows the

computer system to do so but can only do it for her store. She

cannot do a blanket order to send a dozen to each store (and oh, she

would be fired - that could be a big problem for me! She needs her

spending money!)

The woman is a bookworm, she loves to read and has a higher approval rating than her hubby so maybe a nod from her would be good for us.

I heard she is very good about answering White House mail, maybe a send a sibling letter and pictures along with the book to pull some heart strings.

I was planning on doing this. I live in Texas and was planning on

sending one, with a nice letter, to the ranch in Crawford. I agree,

she is a book person and also has the President's ear. I am hoping

she will read it.

was just going to address to to First Lady Bush, c/o Western

Why not send them all a two dollar off coupon so they have to BTOB! (Buy their own books) That way a lot of books won't go to waste.

Several Congresspeople offer URL links on their pages for things like current events reading materials.

Perhaps we could start a links campaign?

Kennedy, Lieberman, Burton, Weldon, Kerry, Bill , and many more etc. just might be willing to pop up a link if this issue is important to them. We are gaining ground, ya know.

Bush, as I've heard through the grapevine, is disappointed in her

husband's policy to

invade Iraq. So is HW Bush.

My best friend's father's brother...okay follow along here...has a very close

friend who is

old friends with the elder Bush's family. The word through this person is that

the family is

disappointed in Dubya.

Either way, getting to her will yield nothing.

As for Oprah, forget it. She's the fluff queen. She'll avoid controversy to keep

her ratings

up at all costs.

I am thinking this has snowballed, and we are missing how this all

started.... It was to get EOH listed as #1 ONLINE to get those

recomendations popping up on everyones computers... Are we now not

worried about that? Or are we working on NYT #1 again???

Having EOH #1 on Amazon will mean very little to nationwide

media folks. This should have been made more clear from the

start. The first priority would be retail bookstores in

your community - The NYT list is what will get the media's

attention...

The goal is to get EOH on the NY Times bestseller's list and to

clear out the copies that are now in and Noble....that has

always been the goal...just trust me (read what said below

that I specifically quoted and pulled from her post) that this is

the best way to reach our goal...we need to make sure that this book

is on the top and that as many copies as possible are bought from

the and Noble stores to clear them out....

If you are close to the US, order by phone from a US retail

PS...if the answer is " no where near a book store " then the next

best thing would be to order on line at and Noble....then,

the book will come out of their inventory (this would be my best

answer to your situation)....
