wheat grass and vita-mix

I tried wheat grass in the vita-mix and cut it into little pieces so

it wouldn't wrap around the blade like the recommended. I

had to add water of course. I noticed it did pulverize it enough to

drink and it did taste quite good. However once it settles there is

this layer of foam on top. I noticed when I drank the mixture, foam

and all I had alot of gas pains. It seems to be better if I just drink

the juice at the bottom and pour the foam off. I am in the process of

making ice cubes to use for later.

I also tried it in my juiceman juicer which supposedly juices wheat

grass and it was an utter disaster and complete mess and waste.

I hope this helps anyone with a vita-mix.

i can't find the name of the " straining " cloth used in jelly making

but if you put it through a number of layers of cheesecloth, you'll

get the juiceys without the harmful glunk AND the foamy bitters

plus, some of that wheat grass fiber is like " anti-nutrient " matter --

the juice by itself is definitely better

do it on an empty stomach they tell you in the book

jerry

ps -- i do a lotta stuff in the " Z Star Manual Juicer " really works

for anything -- plus depending on the food, you can eat the pulp like

cole slaw or even add it back to a vita mix smoothie (i do that with

the RAW spaghetti squash to get all the good vitamins from that --

sometimes the fibers in stems are just not so hot no matter what,

however)
