your local health food store can order anything you want

and you don't get dinged for $8-10 in shipping charges.

even in a cultural wateland like yuma, arizona, i can get

chia seed for $12 per pound with no shipping from the

local herb and health food shop.

Oh, good prices. I just soak a about 1/4 cup in a pint of water last

eating food is the only think that help make it go away. Instead, I ate

a few spoonfuls of the chia gel and went to bed. Even though I could not

sleep and had to get up and do Chi-gung and meditation, I forgot about

eating food. I'll have more to day and see the effects. This may prove

to be the sugar use stabilizer I have been looking for. Thanks for the

price info. I've bookmarked the web sites. Diane

Shipping costs are nothing compared to gas prices these days. I have to

drive 40 miles one way to get to a good health food store.

still, i'd bet it doesn't cost anything

near the $7-$10 that shipping does.

plus it's usually there Now, instead

of having to wait for days on end.

i like to spend my money in my community

when i can.

You didn't do the math. 80 miles at twenty miles to the gallon equals 4

gallons of gas, times $2.30/gallon is $9.20. Not to mention about 2 1/2

hours out of the day most of which is travel time. This costs more than

shipping and that was my point. That said, if I have many places to go in

the big city where the nice health food stores are, then I go.

When I only need one item and if I only have to wait two weeks to get it, I

don't mind paying the $7-$10 in shipping. If is a small price to pay. And I

am patient.

Marilyn,

who does not have a " local " health food store. If I did it would be unwise

NOT to support the local community.

Good point! And gas will only get higher. Right now that 55-bag of chia

seeds still sounds like the best deal. WITH shipping it is still less

than $5.00 per pound. As I said, you can share it with friends or give

it as gifts. AND if stored in a cool place, it keeps 6+ years.

http://www.chiaseedandoil.com/

If that is too much chia, you can still get it for $5.70/lb and

although I don't remember the shipping for that, it was very low and

doesn't go up much if you order several pounds.

Not bad considering that along with chia and sprouts, you don't need

much to eat besides fresh water and love! ;-)

Happy Valentine's Day!

intrinsically wrong with a nation or car

that costs over nine smackers to go a lousey

80 miles.

and these are the good old days.

gas will never be cheaper.

About the " good " in the good old days.

They used to say around here : " The only thing good about the good old days

is that they are dead and gone "

(no immortality for " the dead " that time, I guess, confusing, huh)

The immortality lies in the energy within the sprouts that gets passed

on to us when we chomp down. We shed their physical cellular structure

(in the end) and keep the life force that grew the cells in the first

place. How is that for tieing together esoteric thoughts and sprouts? Huh?

So, may the force be with us, hail all cotyledons.
