Administrative Note: Email volume a problem?

Hello People,

Our list is still in the midst of a surge of new members joining and

the postings from them and from ourselves. This is generating a large

volume of email that some may find troublesome to sift through everyday.

Here are some solutions:

1. You don't have to read each email sent to the list. You can just

select those with interesting subject lines and delete the rest. You

are not being rude for doing so. You can always go back to any email

posted by going to the email archives.

2. You can get one post everyday from the list as a digest of all the

emails for that day. Select " digest " at this website:

3. You can stop all emails from the list and instead read them on the

website whenever you want to. Select " no email " at this url:

This surge is only temporary, based on my experience starting other

lists, and the volume should level off as the growth in new members

slows. But I could be wrong. It would be nice to be wrong this time.

More new members means the book and our efforts are taking root.
