I am sprouting radish seeds but am not sure how long the roots can be to be

beneficial.

Should they continue to grow after the smaller roots appear or should they be

harvested

before then?

The roots of mine get about 1 and 1/2 long. I eat the little buggers

when they have opened their leaves and gotten a day of light. Sort of

light green. Mine don't get as green as the ones in the stores.

Anybody else?

Hi Peg

4-7 days of sprouting and 2-5cm long (approx 1-2 inch)

The longer they get the hotter they get

Right on Ernest Holmes. Abraham-Hicks is teaching the same message and

finally I am getting it. Great quote. Great wisdom.

Peg,

radish normally are harvested when they are 3-4 cm high

At this stage they have well shaped green leafs and long roots and the original

seed are almost disappeared leaving only the external brown skin.

It depend on sprouting method and on temperature, but this stage may arrive

after 4-5 days.

Different colours may depends also from radish variety (Daikon is normally

darker than China Rose)

Hope this help

I use daikon radish seeds by sprouting a few seeds in with other

types of seeds. Mixes are fun to create. Usually it is one

containing broccoli or broccoli raab. A few mustard seeds are fun

too.

As your hubby didn't like alot of radish sprouts by themselves, he

just might be surprised that he does like a few of them in a mix.

I actually don't like radish roots myself, but have eaten radish

flowers and even tried an immature radish seed pod.

Hi.

I have grown radish sprouts (as a matter of fact, radish sprouts were the first

seeds I ever bought off of the internet). Never had a problem, by 3 days they

are almost to the top of my trays. I rinse and drain 3 times a day (in warmer

weather (draining completely) and in cool weather two times a day.

Try draining completely after you rinse them.

seeds 3 days ago, sifted them out of a salad mix because they took so long when

sprouting the mix i thought i'd just do them on their own instead of having big

unsprouted seeds in my sprouts...i'm just surprised since radishes come up so

quickly in the garden...maybe they are a bit old?
