I'm one of the lurkers, but I would sure like to know exactly what fenugreek is. I got some recently in an order from the Sprout People, and I'm not sure what it is. PS And to think I used to just associate with people in the upper end of the idiot range like myself! ;o)>> LOL! You're in good company with this person! It has lots of nutrients, acts as a laxative, reduces fever, helps lower cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Helps asthma and sinus problems by reducing mucus. Promotes lactation in nursing mothers. Good for the eyes and for inflammation and lung disorders (from Prescription for Nutritional Healing and the dictionary). And it tastes good too! Guest guest
Lurk and you shall recieve! Try Google and type in fenugreek. Also the dictionary has a good entry. Just another herb and very tasty slightly bitter easy-to-sprout sprouts! TeeJay
Guest guest
Good Grief , that sounds like something I could use. I am 73 and holding. May I ask a very stupid question. I joined this group because I really love sprouts and wanted to learn how to sprout for my own taste. Some of the posts that I have been reading made me question is this was a legit group. The question in my mind began when I started to read about that special " soup " they were speaking of a week or so ago. Were they kidding? I am not being nasty, but I was not sure if they were just having some fun online or really serious. Not flushing the toilet for weeks?????I don't think so. Just an old lady learning something new everyday. I do not mean to offend anyone. Honestly. I am just curious. Guest guest
Old folks can learn, too. Most of the comments of " humanure " and " compost soup " have been serious and have literature to support them. (I lived in India for many years and the prime minister of that time used auto urine therapy and lived to a healthy 99). The allopathic people are the Borgias of this age! Keep learning! JB, It was a good question. Thanks for asking. I don't think there was any insult to you either. Internet communication can be a funny thing - we usually depend so much on body language and tone of voice etc. so it's easy to misinterpret sometimes. Birds sound fun. When I was in elementary school I lived with African Greys, Mexican double yellow heads, peach faced love birds and strawberry finches and different times. Quite a moisy bunch! Guest guest
Hi Joanne, I have to tell you this. It dawned on me on the way home from the library, where I use the Internet, exactly what I said. I remember I said I didn't flush for four weeks. Well, coming in the middle of the conversation it would sound strange. I laughed all the way home (two miles). Marilyn --- Joanne <joanne@...> wrote: > Marilyn it makes sense! Guest guest
Hi TeeJay, Click on the link at the bottom of my e-mail. Link is in every signature. I'm on a roll with this thing. I have since bought a couple hard copies from Amazon.com. The actual book is better. But everything you need to know is on the internet version.
