Guest guest
I think any of us who have done shows can identify with Messy Mabel, Chrissy. Ugh! And then, not to buy anything, sheesh. Makes you wonder, doesn't it? If she wants dollar items, why not go to the Dollar Tree? How did your sale go, otherwise? Guest guest
this is one reason why I have controlled sample testing. You contoll the sample portions. keeps the messy mables away and of their complaining. It's much easier for me to controll the sampling than to leave a container out for the messy mable's to take over. Just leave a note that if you are interested in this go to the person in charge for a sample. Trust me, it works on the best of the messy mable's. Guest guest
well that days sales went really good otherwise. It was a new show for us but we knew many who have done it and told us about it. Other sales though have been really slow for various reasons. Out in Brockport for instance the food court raised prices on campus so students are running out of money points and are eating in dinning halls which is all you can eat. So not much traffic like other years as it is held in the hall across from the food court. Others are economy based and lack of advertising. Only 1 more to go. YAY! Normally I hate to see them end, but I am just so tired this year. Too much going on, plus we added 5 extra days of shows this year that I had to make more stuff for. Most of which were last minute " oh no we aren't doing anything this thursday lets sign up. " sort of deals lol gotta love them. > > > ** > > > > > > I figured since there really hasn't been any posts in a while that I would > > post something. > > > > There is this lady who came around once b4 at another show and I was > > thinking I'd never see her again. Guest guest
that is a nice idea. we did try that with my sisters dip mixes. We didn't want to leave food out, for the obvious reasons (germs, messy people, keeping cool...) perhaps we should do that for other stuff too, but some are also afraid to ask too. > > this is one reason why I have controlled sample testing. Guest guest
I do the same Cheryl..I have one ounce samplings of the whipped body butter and sugar scrubs. That has been helpful in keeping the Messy Mabels at bay..LOL > > this is one reason why I have controlled sample testing.
