Have sold my business and part of the legal agreement is a non-compete clause, which includes offering ideas or advice. It's not an easy business, but if you're willing to work hard, put in the hours required, and dedicate yourself to making an excellent product, you CAN make a successful business out of it. I made soap for 7 years, and made a living at it for the last 5. Good luck!
