Guest guest
Sounds right up my alley. I copied it into a document. I hate to cook and my kids will also eat it. Stasia
Guest guest
I'm not a big fan of cooking either. Kinda tough for a stay at home Mom to not like to cook! Oh well... I find my way around OK - just learned how to can things, too. That's cool. I get a bug up my sleeve every so often and don't mind spending the time, as long as I don't have to, if you know what I mean. Rambled... sorry... I hope your kids like the soup! Guest guest
Be sure to wash your beans. Rinse all canned beans before putting them in anything. There's usually extra salt in that canned bean water. My only concern is the sodium content. I know that I personally take in very little sodium throughout the day, but if you make this soup regularly I would be concerned about it. Too much sodium leads to water retention and bloating. Guest guest
I think so - I believe it has some sort of bean like that in it already, though.... http://qwesteferral.com/r.jsp?a=Fmu9DBSgHpRfVU541Lz2HA$$ & x Re: Another full meal option.. Guest guest
I enjoy this a couple of times a week. I've noticed if I have two portions in one day it upsets my stomach. Think maybe the sodium in it would do that? They say the best remedy for water retention is drinking more water, right? So maybe I should just drink an extra glass or two on days I have this soup. Guest guest
Yes, drinking extra water will help. Of course, taking in less sodium is another option. I guess I just figure if you have to do more work to counteract it, why bother? Lazy Chili: Cooked Brown Rice Canned Red Beans (rinsed) Salsa (I get an organic black bean and corn that's faboo) I mix all of this and call it cheater's chili. I have some of this with a serving of protein like steak or chicken, or I could always add cooked ground turkey to it.
