Guest guest
I make a similar salve, and use the same process to make herbal lip balm. Just up the beeswax till you get the consistency you like. I wanted to share a tip, though. When I strain my herbs I use a " French press " coffee maker. It has a really fine stainless steel mesh filter and the pressing action insures I get every last drop of precious oil out. Plus it comes apart for easy cleaning. I pop mine into the dishwasher. Guest guest
Thanks for the tip Heidi! I'm wondering how many drops of essential oil you use per lip balm tube. I've been attempting a Vanilla Lip Balm for the last few weeks using a Vanilla Bean infused oil and as few drops of Vanilla absolute as possible. (since its so outrageously expensive!) Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I'm going to try Vanilla oleoresin next, a little cheaper, but, possibly more drops.
