I put chia seeds in all of my smoothies, and I really like them that way. It usually amounts to about a tablespoon or so... if I go much more than that, the texture o the smoothie becomes too - I can't think of a good word - maybe gelatinous? I also put a tablespoon or so of hemp seeds in most of my smoothies. FrannySent from my iPhoneOn Jul 3, 2012, at 10:51 AM, "laingbeth" <laingbeth@...> wrote:

Just watched this after reading about it on the listserv and it was very inspirational and great to watch. Thanks for the recommendation.

Seems like the vitamix would be healthier than a traditional juicer since you keep the fiber instead of separating it out as you make the juice. Is this true?

Is there a limit how much you can drink each day or do you just keep drinking until full?

How about using Chia seeds in the juice/smoothie -- has anyone tried this? Would it be okay since it's a natural plant food?

Thanks!

Yes, I agree. I put 1 teaspoon in and if I don't drink it all right away it gets to thick and not very appetizing. I would add it in the middle of the other ingredients. My seeds stick to the container and often times harden there before I have a chance to clean it. Although, It's a great additive to a drink.

Dara teaches that you put a tablespoon of chia seeds into, like a tea cup, then add water to nearly the top….in a few hours you have chia ‘gel’ and according to her it’s better for you because chia seeds draw moisture out of your system.   The gel already has the water in it, so it doesn’t draw it out of your body…It’s great for cleaning your colon that way.   This is the way I do now….I keep the cup of chia gel in the fridge and take a tablespoon of gel into my smoothie every day.  Marsha From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of javachicSent: Tuesday, July 03, 2012 2:08 PM Subject: Re: Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead Yes, I agree.
