It usually amounts to about a tablespoon or so... if I go much more than that, the texture o the smoothie becomes too - I can't think of a good word - maybe gelatinous? I also put a tablespoon or so of hemp seeds in most of my smoothies. I would add it in the middle of the other ingredients. My seeds stick to the container and often times harden there before I have a chance to clean it. Although, It's a great additive to a drink.
