Guest guest
Add sweet fruit and a touch of stevia and they will lap it up! Baby Spinach has little to no taste and is a good one for kids. Fresh pineapple, bananas and fresh strawberries are the sweetest fruits in my opinion. Start slow with the greens and build up to more and more as they get used to it. Hope this helps!GweninTXSent from my iPadOn Jul 3, 2012, at 12:07 PM, "pfergusonfl1" <patmari@...> wrote: So, I tried one of the green smoothies from the vitamix recipe book last night , in the hopes of getting some greens into my kids and neither of them liked it much. Does anyone have a good one that is kid tested? Also tried pasta sauce for them but it was a bit bland.... any kid approved recipes, please pass them on! thanks! Guest guest
I put in 2 carrots, 1 orange, 1/3 of a large pineapple, 1/2 lemon, 1C water, and 1C ice. Then I freeze them. Ice pops are a great treat and we avoid conflict. If it's green, my oldest won't touch it, but my son will eat those with one packet of stevia in the raw.On Jul 3, 2012, at 1:07 PM, "pfergusonfl1" <patmari@...> wrote: So, I tried one of the green smoothies from the vitamix recipe book last night , in the hopes of getting some greens into my kids and neither of them liked it much. Guest guest
You can add a little beet (1/8 - 1/4) and some carob or cocoa powder or chocolate syrup. The red beet with the green turns it brown. <grin> RenaIf God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.Happy moments, praise God. Difficult moments, seek God. Quiet moments, worship God. Painful moments, trust God. Every moment, thank God.
