good morning folks, this morning i went with a very light workout b/c i think i re-injured my knee with that power walk yesterday. i didn't want skip a workout but decided what i was in the mood for traditional yoga or pilates. so i just picked one i haven't done for awhile.its broken into 3 segments one for cardio type yoga, one for strength and toning, and last for core using a ball. this is not a traditional yoga practice but has some traditional poses that flow into some athletic type dance movements(ex.chair into squats for a few rep then moves into squats into side lunge then adds on quad extensions, its pretty high rep). inbetween similar sequences she adds in sun salutations. i did my own thing with that by doing push ups into downward dog. denise reminds of form during some exercises but does not remind of breathe. the second segment is more traditional poses but i

would not say they flowed together. they are challenging on the balance and you have to really focus on the muscles to get the most out of it. the last segment works a little abs/back/legs with use of the ball.she does some traditional ab work and bridge on the ball as well as some back extensions. its not overly challenging workout for me but for beginner/intermediates this is a great workout for a little dance flow with a little yoga splashed in. denise is not to bubbly but not exactly toned down enough for a good quite yoga workout. she doesn't go into breathe which i feel is important in yoga, nor during most poses does she give proper form which is also important to get the most out of the poses without injury. its an okay workout for something different and light but really not for something regular in my rotation. but i can't give it away b/c the top of it is broke so i better pull it out once in awhile just to give it some use.
