Guest guest
Hi ) I'm kindof a newbie but I'll tell you my experience. For the first 2-3 weeks I would get hungry a lot. It's tapered off a lot now, I just started week 6. Good Luck, I'd love to hear what other's say ) Sunshine ) > hey there, > i just started bfl two days ago, and have a question to ask you > ladies....were you hungry when you started? i keep reading people > saying to eat six meals a day even if you are not hungry. well i > feel pretty hungry alot eating this way. is it because i'm not used > to spacing them out??? any advice? _jordan
Guest guest
Jordan - It takes a week or two for your system to adjust to the new style of eating. You have to practice getting your portion sizes right, etc. And actually, my stomach did a complete flip while getting accustomed to eating all the protein - I was wicked gassy (blah)! But now the opposite happens - if/when I get off track or after a " free " day my stomach has a reaction to the added sugar and carbs. Just give it a couple of weeks and I'm sure you'll get used to it. I had a hard time fitting in that 6th meal at the beginning, too, because I just couldn't stay up late enough to get hungry again. Are you eating all real food? I think it helps if you eat as much real food as opposed to the quick-fix bars and shakes as possible. I have one Myoplex-Lite shake a day as my last meal and that's usually it unless I'm in a bind. Anyhow - good luck and stick with it! in WI hungry alot > hey there, > i just started bfl two days ago, and have a question to ask you > ladies....were you hungry when you started? i keep reading people > saying to eat six meals a day even if you are not hungry. well i > feel pretty hungry alot eating this way. is it because i'm not used > to spacing them out??? any advice? _jordan > > > >
Guest guest
It takes a little practice to get your portions and food choices right. Ideally, you should get hungry and eat every 2-3 hours. If you're starving an hour after a meal, you know it wasn't enough. If you're still not hungry 4 hours later you know it was too much. You should never be really hungry or really full on BFL. You'll walk around feeling " just right " most of the time. If you're starving you can choose more calorie dense carbs like oatmeal, beans, corn, or whole wheat pasta. Then when you're not so hungry go with lighter, less filling carbs like berries, yogurt, or melon. Also, make sure you're getting enough protein. Most people shoot for 20-25g per meal. If your protein portions are too small, you'll definitely be starving an hour after you eat. Hope that gives you some ideas. hungry alot hey there, i just started bfl two days ago, and have a question to ask you ladies....were you hungry when you started? i keep reading people saying to eat six meals a day even if you are not hungry. well i feel pretty hungry alot eating this way. is it because i'm not used to spacing them out??? any advice? _jordan

Guest guest
the thing about the cardio is i've been doing intense cardio for so long that i feel like i have to push myself harder than the 20 minutes to really feel it. i don't do HIT the whole time. i keep it at intense intervals, but only reach a 10 a couple of times. > In a message dated 4/29/2004 12:21:41 AM Eastern Daylight Time, > pottlitzer@y... writes: > > > 3 bfl cardio sessions of 45 50 min > > Maybe, you should try cutting down to 20 minutes of BFL cardio, you could be > overdoing it and thus making yourself hungry. 45 to 50 minutes of HIIT just > seems like an awful lot to me. > > > > >
